Josh: He got a new calling in church, he is the new scout leader for ages 8-11. We don't have much boys in scouts in our ward, but i think he will enjoy it! He is working hard when we have work, it's slow season so work has been hard to get, but we are making it! Sickies have been going around and Josh hasn't been feeling well. He started having these cramps so bad that they bring him to his knees! And if you know josh, he has a high tolerance for pain! So seeing him in the fetal position on our bathroom floor at 3 in the morning was a little scary for me. He ended up taking a shower and sitting in a bath for a while and the pain subsided but it was still there. Work was cancelled for the next day so Josh got to sleep in and get some rest. Then he got up and felt much much better and went to lunch with my parents and had a little business meeting, then off to go get his truck from the shop in Houston with my Dad. He started to feel the pain again but it was still tolerable. Then we met up with them at my brother Coopers basketball game, and he got a hot dog and a powerade and the pain started getting worse but still tolerable. We got home from the game, i made dinner, and we ate, then all of a sudden Josh fell from the couch to the floor in pain! He couldn't even talk it was so bad! I started to panic and called his mom, and we started to think it was his appendix, but the only thing was the sharp pains were in the middle of his stomach not the right ride. and they were down where his intestines are. and up to his belly button. So i hung up with Josh's mom and called my Aunt Marilyn because she's a nurse and she said she's been treating patients with the same exact symptoms as josh and she said it's this flu that's been going around. So she gave me advice and what i should do and we waited the pain out instead of taking him into the ER. We got up this morning, Josh went to work and he says he's feeling much better, has had hardly any pain. so He is doing well for now! I hope it stays that way! We also think this flu has irritated his ulcer, so he is on a pretty strict diet for about a week or 2 to allow his body to heal itself! But if the pain comes back we are going to take him in because he could have an infection in his intestines. Let's hope he doesn't! Please keep Josh in your prayers that he will be able to get through this and all this pain will stay away!
Amber: My new calling for church is the 2nd counselor in primary! I love it! I have gotten hooked on the show Cake Boss and have been inspired to make gorgeous cakes! I have only made 1 so far and it was a pretty good looking cake for my first cake! Anyway i showed a friend of mine my cake i made for fun and now she wants me to make her daughter's graduation cakes, so i will be practicing making cakes for her! I also would like to make Houston's cake for his first birthday! Other than that i haven't really been up to very much. Josh and I had a bit of a scare, i don't know for sure but i missed my period and i realized i was probably pregnant. We were not planning it at all, so i was in a panic and was scared to tell Josh because he has threatened me every month that i better not be pregnant, so i waited a few days to tell him just in case i was a little late but i wasn't starting, so i told Josh and we went and got a pregnancy test and it said negative so i figured i was just late, well 8 days went by still no period and i really started to freak out, i would have to put 3 car seats in my dinky car and i didn't know how Houston would handle not being the baby anymore since he is so attached to me, i had all these things running through my head! i didn't know what to do, i didn't know how i was going to handle another baby right now but Josh reassured me we'd be fine and things will work out. Right when i was getting comfortable with the reality of being pregnant AGAIN i started spotting, then that night it got worse and worse and i had the most excruciating pain i just laid in bed the rest of the day and Josh happened to be home and took care of the kids for me, the pain did not quit until the next day i started spotting again and then it stopped completely, so having 2 miscarriages between Braiden and Houston i just have the feeling i had a miscarriage. I was pretty sad at first because i got used to the idea of being pregnant and now I'm not but i know i am not ready for another little one yet! So i am okay with everything. Josh is relieved! Ha ha, but now we are doing more to prevent getting pregnant again for now. I think in a year i will be ready for another baby but as of right now i am not!
Braiden: He started primary at the beginning of the month! I cannot believe my baby boy is in sunbeams! He is the cutest sunbeam ever! He is adjusting but not as well as i thought. I now it'll take time but as of right now, he likes the singing part but not sitting in a chair for a long time and not going to class! He is fine as long as he see's me! But my job is to go find teachers when we need them and get some lessons for our subs, so he kind of freaks out when i am not there. but he is doing better. Josh has been a good help when i am busy doing my calling. I think once Braiden gets used to going to class, he will be fine. Besides that Braiden is doing very well. This winter has been kind of harsh on him. His seasonal asthma came back and we had to put him on breathing treatments again for a week. He is much better now, but still the sickies are going around and he's been sick with a cold for like a month! He's been on his vitamins also so i know that is helping a lot!
Houston: He is growing up too fast! He took his first steps on January 16th (Aunt Jodi's 19th Birthday!) But i still think we have a while until he actually walks! He isn't sturdy enough to stand on his own from the ground, but he does really good when he stands on his own already standing. He loves to practice walking hold onto our hands, but he has a death grip so it's hard to let go and have him do it by himself. Josh and i got him to do it once he took 2 steps then fell into my arms but it kind of scared him so i don't think he's quite ready yet. He is such a cheese ball! He has this adorable laugh that i just can't get enough of! He loves all the attention he can get! He weighs almost as much as Braiden because Braiden is a picky eater, and is under weight. Houston had a cold for a while but is doing much better, we just can't seem to get rid of the boogies! I hate boogies!
Anyway that's all i have for now!

I think he looks older too! Congrats on your new callings. That is so much fun and you will both be great at them. Thanks so much for sending Boe bday money. He was way excited. I need you phone number again. I got a new phone and lost some numbers. Glad to see that you are doing well. We miss you guys!
glad to hear you are doing good. if it makes you feel better, you most likely didn't have a miscarriage because your prego test would have tested positive. It was probably just a really crappy cycle. Ever since I had Kael my cycles are freakin ridiculous. Your boys are getting so big!!! Me and my mom want to come and visit. They are having good deals on flights so we will see if we can make it down.
