18 Weeks

So i had a doctors appointment today. It didn't go as well as i expected it to. My ob-gyn catherine browne is no longer with the medical center i go to, because her husband was reassigned to a new area and she moved with him, so i had to see another doctor. His name was Dr. Healy, he looked younger and didn't really act like he knew what he was doing but i shook it off and went on answering his questions about my family, my health and my pregnancy so far. He lays me on my back to hear the babies heart beat and we can't find it. he searched for a good 5 minutes and decided to get another device to see if the one he was using didn't work. he leaves me in the room for about 20 minutes, and finally came back, had to clean off the gel off my belly because it was dry and no good. then he tried again, and he was just under my ribs looking for the baby and couldn't hear anything.... Um.. the baby is below my belly button, not under my ribs! is what i was thinking... finally moves down under my belly button and finds the baby's heart beat! thank goodness! It was 156 so 6 more beats than last month! Then i asked him if i could have an ultra sound to just see the baby and if he happened to see what the babies sex was that would just be a bonus! He said, "well i am not as good as cathrine was so i was just going to order an ultrasound and have a professional do it in the next couple of days." I was thinking, "what kind of OB doesn't know how to do an ultrasound?!" and made me think all the more, maybe he was new at this and just graduated from medical school i don't know but i was not really happy. Then i I said "oh well you can practice on me, i just want to see the baby," and he laughed and repeated that he was going to order an ultrasound, so i told him that i was leaving for arizona tomorrow and won't be back until the 23rd at night time, so he went and checked what day cathrine scheduled me for an ultrasound and it happened to be on the 23rd at 1:15, so i told him i needed to change it, and he said that was fine. So i was really disappointed i didn't get to see the baby today, but i will be able to in a week and a half. and Hopefully this baby will cooperate enough to find out what the sex is! I am dying to know! I do feel like it is a boy, but i am still praying for a girl. We have a girl name picked out but we seriously cannot think about any boy names still! Nothing we come up with feels right. Names josh picks out i don't like and vise versa, so we are struggling with names. if you have any ideas please feel free to help us out! :-) Thanks!
